REGRESO AL AMOR from accordion virtuoso Anton Stachev celebrates the pioneering work and legacy of Astor Piazzolla. In this album, Stachev showcases both well-known Piazzolla masterpieces as well as less frequently performed works. The latter includes three duets for accordion and violin from Piazzolla’s Le Vojage, as well as three solo miniatures. Selections from Five Tango Sensations (Piazzolla’s final work) offer the soloist a vast musical canvas for improvisation.
