Paul and Peggo Hodes
founded Big Round Records in 1986 as small, private vehicle
to produce and distribute their first landmark recording
for children with their band Peggosus, Jubilee!, went
on to define a genre and won a Parent's Choice award.
The company has grown, establishing a reputation for award-winning
recordings with an emphasis on contemporary acoustic sounds.
The label currently distributes contemporary acoustic
recordings by Peggo
and Paul, family recordings by Peggosus,
world and folk music by the seven women acapella group
Femme
M'Amie, powerful roots singer-songwriter Frank
Barter, and wacky work from Woody
Boy Johnson, a cowpoke who is more "home on the
strange" than Home on
the Range! Big Round Music is the publishing arm of the
"empire"and maintains membership in ASCAP and
the National Association of Music Publishers of America.
The
label is exclusively distributed by fountainbleu
entertainment. |
